Im Landkreis Mayen-Koblenz hat sich die landwirtschaftlich genutzte Fläche kaum verändert, von 1971 an betrachtet sank sie um 1.898 Hektar (minus 5,3 %).
Eine starke Veränderung gab es jedoch im Flächenverhältnis der Betriebe. Die Entwicklung zeigt, dass die Anzahl der landwirtschaftlichen Betriebe stark zurückgegangen ist, diese aber immer größere landwirtschaftliche Flächen bewirtschaften. Sie liegt mit 64 ha knapp über der durchschnittlichen Betriebsgröße in Deutschland (2017: 62 ha).
