Digitization and DigiMit²

Digitization. Medium-sized business. Transformation.

Digitization in the SME sector is crucial for the competitiveness and future viability of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Mayen-Koblenz district. By using digital technologies, processes can be optimized, costs reduced and new business models developed. Whether in production, customer management or logistics - digital solutions make it possible to react more efficiently and flexibly to market changes. Digitalization also opens up access to new markets and target groups. Despite the benefits, many SMEs face challenges such as a shortage of skilled workers and investment costs, which makes targeted support and funding necessary.

DigiMit², the competence center for digital technologies for SMEs, is a cross-industry and cross-technology competence center that provides pre-competitive and free support in managing the digital transformation process for SMEs in the Mittelrhein-Westerwald region. The competence center at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences is funded by the MWVLW Rhineland-Palatinate and supported by the WFG as a project partner.

DigiTruck

The DigiTruck makes digital technology tangible. Equipped with demonstrators of digital technologies, DigiMit² employees show at events and during company visits how SMEs can also benefit from digital technologies. The DigiCheck helps to examine the status quo in the respective company and correctly assess the individual starting situation. This is followed by needs-based advice.

Development, innovation and networking

DigiMit² draws on an extensive and established network of numerous partners and acts as a network node. The aim is a cross-industry exchange of experience in order to promote cross-industry innovations. The cross-industry structures are intended to promote out-of-the-box thinking and generate added value through shared synergies. The aim is to jointly initiate transformation within the company and drive innovation across industries and sizes.

On the DigiMit² website you will find further information and the specific contact persons at the university.
