Henning Schröder (Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderung am Mittelrhein GmbH), Rita Emde (authorized signatory of Wirtschaftsförderung am Mittelrhein GmbH), Andreas Normann (Managing Partner of Mathias Normann GmbH & Co. KG from Bendorf and Chairman of the IHK Regional Advisory Board Mayen-Koblenz) and IHK Regional Managing Director Martin Neudecker are delighted with the "Internship Weeks" program offered by the two Rhineland-Palatinate state ministries (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture and Ministry of Education). The program is aimed at all sectors - both commercial companies in the IHK and HWK sectors as well as freelancers can take part.

The Internship Weeks 2024 support school pupils in their professional orientation. Around the fall vacations, interested young people visit various companies as part of one-day internships. The aim is to find a longer-term internship or apprenticeship if they are interested.

For school pupils
The internship weeks allow school pupils aged 14 and over to get a taste of different regional companies every day. The campaign extends over the fall vacations plus the school week before and after (October 7 to 31, 2024). Companies and pupils can now register on the Internship Weeks Rhineland-Palatinate website: www.praktikumswochen-rlp.de.

How does the placement take place?

Participation in the internship weeks is free of charge for both companies and students. Companies register on the platform and offer internships for a specific period of time.

After registering, you specify when and for which training occupations you would like to offer internship days. You can decide on which days you can offer internships and do not have to do this for the entire campaign period.

You will then automatically receive suggestions for interns who are interested in your professional fields. With just one click, the internship suggestion is accepted and all important information about the internship day is automatically sent. Both large and small companies benefit from this active placement service. The internship week platform of stafftastic GmbH is used for the precise and automatic placement.
