Support programmes

Public funds can help companies to support existing operational measures aimed at increasing the company's competitiveness.

Numerous programmes are offered by the province of Rhineland-Palatinate and by the federal government,
which are provided in the form of interest-subsidised loans, contracts of indemnity, and non-repayable grants and guarantees.

For example, there are various loan programmes available, in particular for the financing of investments and equipment. Some are also available for environmental protection measures and for innovational and technological developments. There are also several grant programmes that aim to promote special external consulting services and specific strategies in areas such as the environment, new technologies and innovation.

Economic development databases

The national government's online database gives a thorough and up-to-date overview of all support programmes offered by the German federal government, the individual provinces and the European Union. The support programmes are summarised according to uniform criteria – and independently of the level of support and the provider – on the website www.foerderdatenbank.de.
