Insolvency check for businesses

The RheinAhrCampus of the Fachhochschule Koblenz has developed an online check to help companies avoid becoming insolvent. The "KMU Online Check" (KMU = SME), which is unique in Germany, allows independent business people, freelancers and companies to investigate their own position, receive information on risk factors and compare their own situation with that of other companies. Those who require assistance beyond what is freely available can find qualified restructuring consultants by using the system's search function.

The online check should help to harness the widespread fear that exists in relation to the current economic crisis. At the same time, it aims to reinforce the company's own scope for action, to open up possible solutions, and to enable qualified advice on restructuring to be provided. This general check will gradually be expanded to include specialist checks for specific sectors. The first of these specialist sector checks is for the hotel industry.

The purpose of the restructuring portal is to bundle, edit and publish the variety of available information relating to business crises, warning signs and countermeasures in a practice-oriented way by creating an information and communication platform.
