The WFG provides advice to companies looking for a new site for their operations or wishing to expand at their existing site. This advice begins by searching for the most suitable site for the company. Availability, transport networks, site development and, of course, building law all play a crucial role here.

Advice is provided on a case-by-case basis, and is tailored to the company's individual needs. One helpful tool available to Mayen-Koblenz's economic developers is its own commercial space and property database, where all available commercial sites and a multitude of available commercial properties are stored.

A further component of WFG's advisory service is its project management service, which is used not only in finding start-up sites for companies but also in expansion plans. This allows issues relating to building law to be clarified, and potential problems to be rectified in advance. In the case of larger building projects, so-called "round tables", consisting of experts from the relevant authorities (e.g. building authorities, commercial inspectorate, water management authority), are suitable for preliminary discussions before the actual approval procedure begins.
